If you’re new here, you’ll have a warm welcome from us at Mount Pleasant. Whether you’re coming back to church after a time away or you’re totally new to the idea, you’re always welcome and we hope you feel at home.
The best way to find out more about the church is to join us for our main services at 10:30am and 6pm every Sunday. If you’d like to send us a message, you can use this contact form. Below is some more information you might be looking for.
Our church meets lots of times in the week, but our main services are on Sundays at 10:30am and 6pm. We meet at the big yellow chapel overlooking the Main Road in Maesycwmmer.

When you arrive, you will get a warm welcome from some of the church family. They can answer any questions you may have and you can take any seat you like in the chapel. During the service we will pray, sing, read the Bible and hear a message about Jesus. There is never any pressure to join in with anything, you can just sit there if you’d prefer.
After the service, we share tea, coffee and biscuits or cake together which is a great time to meet new people, make friends or ask questions.
For anyone seeking a quiet time of prayer or counsel after the service, Pastor Hywel (or anyone, really!) will be very happy to help you.
We absolutely LOVE having children of all ages come along to church and have several of our own who come every Sunday, from newborns and babies to toddlers and teens! Children who come along on Sundays start off in the main service with the whole church family together as they are able. They don’t have to be perfectly behaved angels! About twenty minutes into the service, there is a Sunday School for children to go to if they want to. Our amazing Sunday School helpers look after the kids with craft and a bible story. Of course, this is optional and your children can sit with you if you'd prefer.
See more about our children’s work on our what's on page. All our helpers are DBS checked and operate under our safeguarding policies. If you have any questions about the children’s work, please don’t hesitate to ask.
There isn’t one! Be yourself and come as you are comfortable.
