Sundays

The highpoint of church life is weekly gathering to worship together. You’re warmly invited to join us on Sundays 10:30am and 6pm. The morning service includes our Sunday School to which all children are very welcome too. Find more information about Sundays on our welcome info page.

Mondays

Every Monday morning at 9:30am our Fresh Start Bible Reading Group meets in the chapel. We read a chunk of the Bible together with some tea/coffee and sometimes a bite to eat too. Everyone is welcome and it is particularly accessible for people who might feel a bit nervous about coming to church.

Every Monday during termtime 3:30pm–4:30pm is our After School Club for 7-12yr olds. We have fun and games, snacks and drinks, craft and a Bible talk which we often link into the school’s curriculum too. We are grateful to do this in partnership with Maesycwmmer Primary School but you don’t have to be enrolled there to join in. You can download a consent form here.
All our helpers are DBS checked and operate under our safeguarding policies. If you have any questions about the children’s work, please don’t hesitate to ask.

On alternate Mondays at 6:30pm we have our Next Steps class where we take our next steps together in the Christian faith. Everyone is welcome and it is very accessible – several children often attend. Sometimes we are talking Theology, other times it’s Church History or Bible Study, but it’s always focussed on Jesus and Church. If you’d like to come along, we’d love to welcome you. Use our contact form since the dates and venues sometimes move.

Wednesdays

Every Wednesday morning in termtime our Toddlers' Group gets together 9am–12pm. There are mountains of toys, endless rounds of toast and tea on tap. It’s always free too.

Every Wednesday evening, come rain or shine, all year round, we meet at 7:30pm (7pm from November) in the chapel to four our Prayer Meeting & Bible Study. Usually, the Bible study is around 7:30pm–8pm and we pray 8pm–8:45pm(ish!). If you’d like to come and go for any part of that, you’d be very welcome, no need to stay for the whole thing if you can’t.

Thursdays

Starting in November, our Lunch Club gets together every Thursday from 12:30pm. Anyone and everyone is warmly welcome to come for free food, drinks and friends. You don't have to eat anything, some of us just come for the friends and laughs.

Fridays

Pastor Hywel is the Wellbeing Wizard / Cyfaill Cysor for the local primary school and contributes to their whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing. He is available to anyone and everyone in the school to help however he can. If you're linked with the school in any way at all you can get in touch with him in that capacity. He tries to be available on school premises on Friday afternoons.

Other Activities

Every October half term, we work with several other churches in the valleys to take schoolchildren (10—18yrs) on Good News Autumn Camp. For more information see goodnewsautumncamp.co.uk.

The men in the church family occasionally get together to eat, spend time together or for a work party to help out people in need. We call it Brotherhood; sometimes its pizza, clearing a garden or a curry and quiz. We love welcoming new people, contact us to find out when Brotherhood meets next.

The ladies in the church family get together for Ladies' Socials too. We get up to all sorts of fun; sometimes it's craft or puzzles but whatever it is, there is always plenty of chatting, nibbles and drinks. Any ladies are welcome to join us, contact us contact us to find out we meet next.

Please keep an eye on our socials for special events and services, especially around school holidays, Christmas and Easter.
